Daulatbhai Trivedi Law College, part of Navgujarat Group of Colleges, organized its ‘2nd Internal Moot Court Competition on 3rdFebruary 2026. The competition centered on one of the most significant and contemporary legal debates: the constitutional conflict between the ‘Right to Privacy’ and the ‘Gujarat Prohibition Act’.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Ankitkumar Rami, Principal, Daulatbhai Trivedi Law College. Addressing the students, he emphasized that such academic platforms play a crucial role in nurturing legal reasoning, analytical thinking, and a deeper understanding of constitutional principles, essential qualities for aspiring legal professionals.
The competition was managed by the Moot Court Coordinator, Dr. LatabenMenat,Assistant Professor,D T Law College, who provided comprehensive guidance to the participants by explaining the procedural rules and clarifying the complex legal frameworks involved in the competition.
Students participated with immense vigor and intellectual rigor. While arguing the hypothetical case of Arav Oberoi vs. State of Gujarat, participants presented well-researched and persuasive arguments through a comparative analysis of the landmark K.S. Puttaswamy judgment and the statutory provisions of the Gujarat Prohibition Act. The aspiring advocates demonstrated commendable courtroom etiquette, legal acumen, and oratory skills.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Rinku Darji, Assistant Professor, D T Law College, who expressed sincere gratitude to the college administration, the esteemed judges, and all participating students for contributing to the success of the event.
