Following the success of the Jan Aakrosh Yatra in North Gujarat, the Congress will launch the second phase of the march from Fagvel village in Kheda district on December 20. The yatra will conclude at Kamboi Dham in Dahod on January 6, 2026.
Gujarat Congress president Amit Chavda and senior leader Tushar Chaudhary said the yatra will be organised under the theme “Parivartan no Shankhnad” (clarion call for change). It will cover around 1,400 km across three municipal corporation areas and 55 talukas in seven Central Gujarat districts—Kheda, Anand, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Panchmahal, Mahisagar and Dahod.
They said the march aims to highlight public grievances and alleged corruption affecting the people of Central Gujarat. Chaudhary pointed to the poor condition of roads and incidents such as bridge collapses and accidents in Morbi, Palanpur and Anand as indicators of large-scale corruption in the roads and buildings department.
Key issues to be raised during the yatra include problems faced by tribal communities, alleged corruption running into crores under MGNREGA, irregularities in the Nal Se Jal scheme, concerns of milk producers linked to the Amul pattern, drinking water and irrigation shortages, corruption in urban local bodies, recurring floods in Vadodara city, and local issues in areas such as Karamsad. The leaders stressed that the yatra is not an election campaign but a movement to fight for people’s rights.
They added that while the government collects taxes, it fails to address public concerns, and appealed to people from all sections of society to join the yatra to collectively voice public anger.
