The state transport department has announced an increase in fees for Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates. According to a notification issued on December 12, the revised rates are likely to come into effect within the next week.
Under the new fee structure, two-wheelers, including mopeds, will be charged Rs 50. Three-wheelers running on CNG, LPG, petrol or diesel will pay Rs 60. The fee for four-wheelers has been fixed at Rs 130, while diesel-powered light motor vehicles and all medium and heavy motor vehicles operating on diesel or CNG will be charged Rs 150.
Officials at the Subhash Bridge RTO said they are yet to receive formal instructions on the exact date of implementation.
