A 34-year-old woman died after falling from the third floor of her apartment building in Chandkheda, Ahmedabad.
The incident, which took place two days ago, was captured on the society’s CCTV camera. Police have registered a case of accidental death, and the exact cause of the fall is still being investigated.The woman, identified as Maitri Shrimali, lived in Diwali Homes, the same building where the incident occurred.
According to police, she suddenly moved toward the balcony and fell. She suffered serious injuries and died on the spot.CCTV footage shows a cleaner sweeping the ground floor corridor when Shrimali is seen falling suddenly from above, with her dupatta landing a few seconds later. Residents rushed to help, but she could not be saved.
Police said no suicide note was found, and it is not yet clear whether the fall was accidental or deliberate. Investigators are analysing the video and recording statements from her family and neighbours.
The incident has shocked the residents of the society, and police say further action will be taken once the cause of the fall is confirmed.
