The 11th and final round of Gulmohar Golfer of the Year (GGOY), one of the city’s leading golfing tournaments, drew to a close with 60 golfers taking part. A part of the Bimavale-Go Golf 2025 calendar, the concluding round was played at Gulmohar Greens: Golf & Country Club on November 15 and 16.
Tvisha Patel emerged the winner in the low-handicap category with a score of 79 gross and 38 points, ahead of Jem Jose, who finished runner-up with 86 gross and 33 points.
In the mid-handicap category, Nirav Soni claimed top honours with 88 gross and 36 points, while Saumya Shah finished as the runner-up with 94 gross and 35 points.
Dilip Borah topped the charts in the high-handicap category with 97 gross and 41 points. Ramesh Sojitra was the runner-up with 102 gross and 33 points.
The three winners earned 3,000 reward points each, while the runner-ups received 1,800 points. In all, 27 golfers across the three categories earned reward points.
In the junior category, RivanSoni took the top spot with 103 gross and 41 points, ahead of Juhi Mavani, who finished with 86 gross and 37 points. They received 1,500 and 1,000 reward points, respectively. In the skill competitions, Saumya Shah won the longest drive contest at hole 1 with a 260-yard shot. Sanjeev Nikam won the closest to pin at hole 3 contest, landing the ball just 14 feet from the hole. Nirav Soni won the second shot closest to the pin at hole 9 contest by placing the ball just eight feet from the hole.
