Following Monday evening’s car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, security has been tightened across Gujarat, with a high alert issued at key locations including Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.
The airport authorities have advised passengers to arrive at least three hours before their scheduled flight time. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), responsible for airport security, has intensified checks and launched continuous screening in both arrival and departure areas.
Travellers have also been urged to ensure that their check-in and hand baggage meet prescribed weight and security norms, officials said.
