Anika Todi, a student of The Riverside School, Ahmedabad, shone bright at the ISSO National Games: Athletics Championship 2025-26, held at Hyderabad.
Anika won silver medals in both shot put and javelin throw. This is the third consecutive time that Anika has won medals at the ISSO Nationals competition in the Under-17 category, demonstrating her talent.
“Despite the rigorous demands of being an Advanced Subsidiary (AS) level student, my passion for athletics helps me maintain focus and discipline in my studies,” says Anika, about how she balances her studies and sports.
Organised by the International Schools Sports Organisation (ISSO), and recognised by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) and the International School Sport Federation (ISF), the championship is India’s premier competitive platform for schools offering international curricula, including IB, Cambridge, German, and American boards.
More than 800 athletes from 90 premier schools across India participated in the championship between October 30 and November 1. The events included sprints, relays, distance races, jumps, and throws across Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 categories for both boys and girls.
