A major fire broke out at Rama Paper Mill in Valsad, Gujarat, late Thursday night. Officials confirmed that there were no casualties and said that around 80% of the blaze has been brought under control.
Fire Officer B.G. Chawda stated, “We received a call after 11:30 pm about a fire at Rama Paper Mill. Five fire engines were rushed to the spot, and about 80% of the fire is now under control. Being a paper mill, there were large bundles of paper, which fueled the flames. Thankfully, there has been no loss of life.”
In a separate incident, a fire broke out at a clothing factory in Khanpur Extension on Thursday night, reportedly due to a short circuit. Around four to five fire tenders were deployed to douse the flames. Fire Officer Shravan Lal Meena said, “The fire is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit. No casualties were reported.”
