A clash broke out at JG University in Ahmedabad after a confrontation between Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) members and the university’s security guards turned violent.
According to police, a complaint has been filed against five to six security personnel accused of assaulting ABVP workers with sticks.
The incident took place when ABVP members arrived on campus to make an announcement, but college authorities reportedly directed them to hold their programme outside the premises. This led to a heated argument that soon escalated into a physical altercation.
Several ABVP members sustained injuries during the scuffle and were taken to a hospital for treatment. Following the incident, a Vastrapur Police team reached the site and registered a case against the accused guards. An investigation is currently underway.
