A video showing a group of youths, including a woman, performing an obscene dance on a public road in Ahmedabad’s Sardarnagar area has gone viral on social media, prompting police to launch an investigation.
Preliminary reports suggest the video was filmed in the Kubernagar locality. It shows several young men dancing on the street, joined by a woman making suggestive moves in public view.
The video was reportedly uploaded on Instagram by Mukesh Makwana, who is said to have organised a birthday celebration. In the footage, Makwana—seen wearing gold jewellery—can be seen dancing with the woman, engaging in objectionable acts that drew sharp criticism online.
Police officials from Sardarnagar police station confirmed they have taken note of the incident and begun an inquiry to identify those involved and verify the exact location of the event.
