Faculty members from diploma and degree engineering colleges have approached the state education department, seeking a meeting to resolve their long-pending issues.
They pointed out that although the department had earlier assured them of action—prompting them to call off their strike—the promises remain unfulfilled.
“Teachers in the technical education sector are disheartened as several key orders meant to safeguard their interests are still marked as ‘under consideration’ or ‘query not complied’,” the representation stated.
Among the major unresolved matters are the implementation of the Career Advancement Scheme, recognition of GPSC-to-GPSC service calculations, benefits for consecutive ad hoc service, issuance of NOCs and study leave for higher studies, clarity on Seventh Pay Commission options and implementation, and delays in the voluntary transfer process.
