To ensure food safety during the festive season, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has intensified checks on snack and sweet makers. On Wednesday, three inspection teams visited 12 food units across the city and collected 36 samples of fafda, jalebi, chutney, kadhi, and besan amid concerns over unhygienic practices. The samples have been sent to the public health laboratory for testing. AMC officials said inspections will continue in the coming days, covering not only festive snack sellers but also vendors of dry fruits and other high-demand foods.
