Ahmedabad, October 1 — Commuters using the Vadaj Junction to Ranip stretch should brace for disruptions, as the road will remain closed for two months starting October 3 due to ongoing construction of a four-lane flyover bridge and a two-lane underpass at Vadaj Junction. Officials indicated the closure could be extended until the project work at the junction is fully completed.
Traffic diversions announced:
- Vehicles from Vadaj Junction will be diverted via Bhimjipura crossroads → Ramapir Tekra → Ranip.
- Alternatively, traffic from Vadaj Junction can take the route via Bhimjipura crossroads → Akhbarnagar Circle → National Handloom Junction.
According to the AMC Bridge Project Department, the flyover construction had been moving slowly in recent months. However, with the AMC general elections scheduled in February, instructions have been issued to fast-track the project to ensure early completion.
