Former NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede has filed a ₹2 crore defamation suit against Red Chillies Entertainment and Netflix, alleging that the recently released web series based on Aryan Khan’s 2021 drug case contains false and defamatory content.
Wankhede, who led the high-profile investigation that resulted in Aryan Khan’s arrest, claimed the portrayal damages his reputation and misrepresents facts. The civil suit, filed in a Mumbai court, seeks both monetary damages and removal of the objectionable content from the series.
Red Chillies Entertainment, owned by Shah Rukh Khan, and Netflix are yet to respond publicly to the legal action.
