The Faculty of Technology and Engineering at the Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) of Baroda, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, and the Industries and Mines Department, Government of Gujarat, organised a Women Entrepreneurship Awareness (WEA) event on Wednesday.
The initiative aimed to equip women with opportunities in skill development, training, mentoring, marketing, funding, and incubation to help them navigate challenges in today’s business ecosystem.
The event, held at the Chemical Auditorium, was addressed by MSU Vice-Chancellor Bhalchandra Mahadeo Bhanage, who highlighted the university’s commitment to fostering education, research, and innovation. “Through this initiative, we aim to provide women with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to venture into entrepreneurship,” he said.
Dean Prof. (Dr.) Dhanesh Patel noted that over 120 participants, including school passouts, diploma holders, undergraduates, and postgraduates, benefited from the programme.
