The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has received 12,300 applications for 553 re-allotted 1-BHK flats under the Chief Minister’s Housing Scheme.
These LIG-1 flats, priced at ₹11 lakh including maintenance, were part of the 4,658 units built in 2016 across areas like Thaltej, Vejalpur, Chandkheda, Nikol, Asarwa, Rakhial, and Sarangpur.
They are being re-allotted as many original allottees either defaulted on payments or opted for alternate housing.The application window, open from July 30 to September 12, 2025, targeted families with annual incomes up to ₹6 lakh. AMC officials said the move is meant to benefit economically weaker sections.
