North Indians in Gujarat will soon get easier travel to north Bihar as Star Air launches a direct Ahmedabad–Purnia flight from September 29.
Currently, passengers can only fly to Patna. The new route will save time for those heading to Purnia, Darbhanga, Siliguri, or even Nepal. The flight will operate three days a week—Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
Purnia Airport is set to be inaugurated on September 15. The service comes just ahead of Chhath Puja, offering relief to many families planning festive travel.
Meanwhile, Thai Vietjet will also launch an Ahmedabad–Phuket service from December 4 for holiday travellers.
