A gas leak at the Gujarat Fluoro Chemicals (GFL) factory in Ranjitnagar, Panchmahal, on Wednesday left 25 people hospitalised and triggered panic in the area.
Police and district administration teams rushed to the site and evacuated all workers. While most victims were admitted to nearby hospitals, those with serious conditions were referred to Vadodara.
Officials said the presence of gas made it difficult to enter the premises, hampering immediate assessment. Efforts are on to contain the leak, and authorities are monitoring the situation closely. Residents have been advised to stay cautious and ignore rumours.
