A 20-year-old woman was injured in Narol late Monday night after her alleged lover, upset over her engagement to another man, opened fire on her.Police said the accused, Arbaaz Khan alias Bhuro Rangrez, travelled from Madhya Pradesh and shot the woman with a country-made pistol, injuring her right arm. She was rushed to LG Hospital, where she is under treatment and out of danger.Soon after the attack, police teams from Narol station, Zone-6 DCP’s squad and the Local Crime Branch launched a search and arrested Khan within hours, also recovering the firearm.Preliminary investigation revealed Khan was allegedly in a one-sided relationship with the victim and had planned the attack after learning of her engagement. He has been booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act.
