Khadia police have registered a case against a delivery agent accused of running away with Amazon parcels valued at around ₹49.19 lakh, including 164 high-end mobile phones.
According to a media report, FIR filed on August 28 by Shashibhushan Trivedi (27), authorised signatory for Amazon Transportation Services Pvt Ltd, the accused has been identified as Mohammad Shabbar Nasirbhai Mansuri (30), a resident of Astodia. He had been working for the past eight years at YS Autocare, an authorised Amazon dealership in Khadia.
On July 14, Amazon’s delivery driver brought 171 parcels from the Naroda godown to YS Autocare. Of these, 129 parcels contained mobile phones. Mansuri collected the parcels as usual and left for deliveries on his two-wheeler around 1.30 pm, but never returned. By evening, his phone was switched off and all parcels were found missing.
The stolen goods included:
- 45 Apple iPhones worth ₹22.39 lakh
- 25 Samsung phones worth ₹15.32 lakh
- 55 iQOO phones worth ₹7.97 lakh
- 18 Vivo phones worth ₹1.22 lakh
- 6 Realme phones worth ₹58,000
- 3 Redmi phones worth ₹21,000
- 4 OnePlus devices worth ₹84,000
- 8 Tecno phones worth ₹47,000
In total, the 164 stolen mobiles were worth about ₹49 lakh, while 42 other parcels had goods worth ₹19,000.
The complainant has given police IMEI numbers, model details and bills of the stolen devices. Police have booked Mansuri under cheating and criminal breach of trust charges and launched a search operation. Statements of the Amazon driver and dealership owner have already been recorded.
