The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) on Tuesday accused Asian Global School in Chandkheda, Ahmedabad, of charging nearly 50% higher fees than permitted by the Fee Regulatory Committee (FRC).
Ahmedabad City NSUI president Tilakram Tiwari submitted a memorandum with evidence to the district education officer (DEO), alleging the school has been collecting ₹91,000 from Classes 1 to 10 — ₹31,000 more than the approved ₹61,000 fee for Classes 1 to 8 in 2023-24. The figures exclude conveyance and other charges.
The students’ union has demanded strict action against the school management and warned of a protest outside the DEO’s office if no steps are taken.
The report will be updated once the school or DEO issues a response.
