The Centre has approved a new Veterinary and Animal Husbandry College in Himmatnagar, with admissions for 80 seats starting next month for the 2025-26 academic year. The college will offer a BVSc and Animal Husbandry degree under Kamdhenu University.
According to a media report, Staff appointments are complete, including the Principal, four professors, seven associate professors, 34 assistant professors, and 23 non-teaching staff. The 23-acre campus features modern infrastructure, affordable fees, and residential facilities.
This will be Gujarat’s fifth veterinary college, after those in Anand, Navsari, Junagadh, and Dantiwada. Admissions will be based on NEET scores after Class 12. Approval was granted following a Veterinary Council of India review.
