A year after its launch, the School of Law at Dhirubhai Ambani University (DAU) is introducing a PhD programme aimed at reshaping advanced legal education in India. Applications will be accepted until August 19, with officials highlighting the programme’s focus on bringing fresh perspectives to legal studies.
“The school is dedicated exclusively to postgraduate and doctoral studies and executive education for working professionals, combining rigorous academic research with industry-driven learning and global exposure. The PhD programme will target high-impact, future-ready areas of law: Artificial Intelligence and Data Protection, ESG, Carbon Market and Sustainability, and Construction Law and Arbitration,” said Avinash Dadhich, director of the School of Law.
He said the curriculum is tailored for both full-time scholars and part-time candidates, aiming to build expertise that can shape policy, industry practices, and societal change. The programme will be co-supervised by leading legal academics, top law firms, corporate general counsels, and faculty from Ivy League, Russell Group, and other top 100 QS-ranked law schools.
Full-time scholars will receive a fellowship of ₹50,000 per month, while part-time scholars will get a fully sponsored annual foreign immersion for up to three years. Officials added that an LLM programme is also in the pipeline.
