The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its latest forecast, has issued a heat wave warning for parts of Anand district today. Additionally, coastal areas of Gujarat are expected to experience hot and humid weather.
According to the IMD bulletin, heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail in isolated pockets of Anand district in the Central Gujarat region.
The IMD’s seven-day forecast states:
A drop in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C over the next three days, followed by a rise of 2-3°C thereafter.
A drop in minimum temperatures by 2-3°C over the next three days, followed by a rise of 2-3°C thereafter.

Meanwhile, summer heat has intensified in Gujarat, with multiple cities recording temperatures above 40°C on Monday. Rajkot was the hottest at 41°C, while Ahmedabad and Vadodara reported 40°C and 40.2°C, respectively.
Other cities experiencing soaring temperatures include Bhuj (40.6°C), Amreli (40.4°C), and Gandhinagar (40°C).
