The Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trademarks (CGPDTM), in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), hosted the 2025 edition of the Roving Seminars in Ahmedabad.
The seminar, titled “Unlocking Global Opportunities for Indian Innovators and Businesses: WIPO IP Services for Protecting Inventions and Trademarks Abroad”, aimed to equip Indian businesses and innovators with insights into international intellectual property (IP) protection.

Organised in association with YJ Trivedi & Co. – AMA Academy for Intellectual Property Rights, the seminar featured experts who provided key insights into leveraging global IP frameworks. Jatin Trivedi and Gopi Trivedi, senior partners at YJ Trivedi & Co., shared their expertise on the benefits of international filings through the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and the Madrid System.
Commenting on the event, Jatin Trivedi said, “It was an enriching experience to engage in the seminar. The discussions around the PCT and Madrid System were insightful, particularly in how these global frameworks can be more effectively utilised by applicants. With India’s IP ecosystem gaining momentum, I am confident we will witness significant growth and contributions in the coming years.”
The seminar showcased the growing importance of international IP protection in an increasingly globalised market.
