Forty-one golfers teed off in the 11th and final round of the Gulmohar Golfer of the Year 2024, a part of the MP Financial Services-Go Golf 2024 calendar, at Gulmohar Greens – Golf and Country Club on October 26 and 27.
Neil Dave emerged as the winner in the 0-14 handicap category with 74 gross and 38 points. SP Singh finished as the category runner-up with 80 gross and 36 points.
Satish Kumar topped the charts in the 15-23 handicap category with 89 gross and 38 points, with Dr. Siddharth Mavani finishing as the runner-up with 91 gross and 36 points.
Navjot Singh Bhamra was the winner in the 24-36 handicap category with 93 gross and 39 points, while Pralay Ghosh was the runner-up with 99 gross and 37 points.
The three winners received 3,000 reward points and the runner-ups 1,800 reward points. In all, 16 golfers in the three categories received reward points.
In the junior category, Tvisha Patel was the winner with 81 gross and 39 points, and Devjeet Singh was the runner-up with 89 gross and 37 points. They received 1,500 and 1,200 reward points respectively.
In the skill competitions, Mihir Sheth was the winner for the longest drive at hole #1 with a shot of 251 yards. Brig. AK Singh won the competition for the closest to the pin at hole #3 by landing the ball just 15 feet and three inches from the hole. Anand Patel landed the ball just seven feet and eight inches from the hole to win the competition for the second shot closest to the pin at hole # 9.
