The Amdavad Municipal Corporation launched Electric Auto Project For women. The project has been implemented as a joint initiative with the Gujarat CSR Authority. under which 25 E-Autos will be operated only by women. this will not only ensure the employment of women, but also protect the environment.
The authorities have advertised in newspapers and invited applications from interested women. In which the selected applicants are given driving training, learning and license. Authorities given subsidy for bank loan to the applicant for purchase of E-Autos. District industry center, Gujarat Energy Development Agency and AMC will help for the assistance to purchase E-Autos.
Vehicle tax will be waived by the Goverment on purchase of E-autos will be owned by the female applicant. Beneficiary has to manage it for at least three years, till then the beneficiary cannot sell or rent it. The logo prescribed by the corporation shall be mandatorily displayed on the E-auto.
