The Amdavad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) and Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) are thinking about raising their prices after a hiatus of nine years since 2014. The expected fare increase per ticket will be between Rs 2 and Rs 5.
Due to these transport entities’ losses and financial difficulties, the civic body has proposed this increase. Following a meeting on Tuesday between BJP council members and AMC CEO M Thennarasan, a proposal to increase ticket prices was made. The meeting’s main goal was to go over AMTS and BRTS’s financial situation.
