Virat Kohli’s Epic Reaction To Shubman Gill’s Second Test

After being benched for the first two Tests, Team India’s star batter Shubman Gill failed to make an impact in the third Test but delivered his best in the ongoing Ind vs Aus Ahmedabad Test. On Day 3 of the fourth Test between India and Australia, the talented youngster scored a scintillating tonne. Everyone in the Indian camp gave him a standing ovation and applauded when he reached the triple-digit mark.

Ex-India captain Virat Kohli praised Gill’s batting heroics in Ahmedabad as well. Virat Kohli’s celebration of Shubman Gill’s milestone during the Ahmedabad Test went viral on social media.

After scoring 128 runs, Shubman Gill walked back to the pavilion. Nathan Lyon, the senior Australian spinner, came in with a good length delivery that the young opener took on his pads.

Shubman Gill was named to India’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy squad after scoring his first Test century in the Bangladesh series. However, the team management chose to rest him for the first two Tests in favour of the under-fire KL Rahul.

Following KL Rahul’s back-to-back failures against Australia in the first two matches, Shubman Gill was named to India’s XI for the final two Tests. Following Rohit Sharma’s early departure, Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara fought back with a solid 113-run stand. Pujara was sent off for 42 points, while Gill was sent off for 128. Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja are currently on the crease, attempting to build another strong partnership for the hosts. Australia scored 480 runs while batting first.
