Gujarat reported 475 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of infections to 12,30,954, according to a state health department official.
At least 248 patients were discharged from hospitals, taking the count of recoveries to 12,17,215, while the toll stood at 10,946, as no new casualties were reported during the day, he said.
With this, the state is now left with 2,793 active cases, the official said.
Of the latest cases, Ahmedabad recorded 216 new infections, followed by Surat with 79, Vadodara 47, Jamnagar 22 and Mehsana 14 cases, among others, it was stated.
According to the health department, a total of 11.13 crore vaccine doses have been administered in the state so far, with 52,721 people receiving vaccinations on Tuesday.
