India on Wednesday records 2.82 lakh new Covid cases in 24 hours a rise of 18 per cent from yesterday’s case count.
With 2 82,970 new cases the Active caseload of country stands at 18,31,000. The positivity rate has climbed marginally from 14.43 per cent to 15.13 per cent.
The country has so far reported 8,961 cases of the fast-spreading Omicron variant. The Omicron count rose by 0.79 per cent since yesterday.
The Active cases stand at 4.83%, recovery rate currently at 93.88%.
In a day 1,88,157 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours increasing the total recoveries to 3,55,83,039.
Till date the country has done 70.74 cr total tests; 18,69,642 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
