Ahmedabad: The Health Department of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation administered over 62 lakh Covid-19 vaccine doses. This number is nearly 93 percent of the city’s eligible population.
“We have covered 93% of the eligible population so far. We aim to reach out to those who are unvaccinated through vaccination booths at AMTS, BRTS stands and public places,” The Times of India quoted Bharat Patel, chairman of AMC’s solid waste and health committee, as saying.
Over 40 vaccination booths have been set up at various places in the city. Furthermore, five AMTS buses have also been deployed as mobile vaccination centres.
As many as 21 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Gujarat on Monday, out of which 6 cases were reported from Ahmedabad, according to the data released by the Health and Family Welfare Department of Gujarat.
In addition to this, with 4,96,485 vaccine doses being administered in a day, Gujarat achieved a new milestone of administering more than 6 crore doses of coronavirus vaccines.
