Rekha, an entrepreneur, singer and performer based in Oklahoma City, has been named Mrs International 2026 at the Mrs India Queen of Substance International 2026 pageant. The recognition adds to her recent achievements in international pageantry and fashion, including appearances at competitions in Egypt and the Philippines and a walk at New York Fashion Week.
Over the past year, Rekha has participated in four pageants, exploring opportunities in fashion, performance and the entertainment industry. She says her journey has been driven by a desire to take on new challenges and pursue interests that she had long wanted to explore.
At the Mrs Global World pageant in Egypt, Rekha won the Plus Size category, a recognition associated with representation and body positivity. She later participated in Mrs Asia International in Manila, where she secured the First Runner-Up position in the Platinum category.
Her other pageant appearances include MyDreams Mrs Universe Oklahoma and Mrs India Queen of Substance International 2026, where she earned the Mrs International 2026 title. She also walked the runway at New York Fashion Week, gaining exposure to the international fashion industry.
A journey shaped by self-learning
Rekha’s journey has also involved overcoming educational and personal challenges. Although she wanted to pursue higher education, circumstances prevented her from studying beyond Class 10. She subsequently focused on developing her skills and knowledge through self-learning and practical experience.
She credits her progress to perseverance, faith and self-belief, while acknowledging the support of her family, friends and well-wishers.
For Rekha, participating in international pageants has provided opportunities to interact with people from different backgrounds, gain stage experience and explore new avenues for personal and professional growth.
Exploring opportunities in music
Apart from pageantry and fashion, Rekha is pursuing her interest in music as a singer and performer. She hopes to release original songs, reach wider audiences and explore opportunities to perform on international platforms.
She also wants to use her public presence to support charitable initiatives and contribute to causes that benefit communities.
