Ahmedabad is set to get a new elevated road corridor ahead of Diwali, with the 4.03-km stretch between Sarkhej and Karnavati Club scheduled to open to traffic. Built at an estimated cost of ₹365 crore, the project is aimed at easing congestion and improving traffic movement along this busy stretch.
The elevated corridor will be inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, according to the information provided. Its opening is expected to benefit thousands of daily commuters by reducing travel time and easing traffic movement between Sarkhej and Karnavati Club.
Project aims to ease congestion
The elevated corridor has been constructed to address traffic congestion along the Sarkhej–Karnavati Club stretch. The project has been completed by a Haryana-based construction agency.
Once opened, the corridor is expected to provide motorists with an alternative route over the existing road network, helping improve traffic flow in the area.
The project is part of Ahmedabad’s ongoing infrastructure development and is expected to improve connectivity along this important road stretch.
