The LJ School of Design (LJSD), in association with the Board of Cultural Activities at LJ University, organised a two-day festival titled Design Gully, celebrating creativity, entrepreneurship and sustainable design.Based on a pop art theme, the festival featured nearly 25 product stalls and seven food stalls, along with performances, games and workshops on Warli art, pottery, glass painting and face painting.
The event attracted around 4,500 visitors over two days. One of the key highlights was the use of discarded construction materials from the campus to create stalls and installations, promoting the idea of reusing waste creatively.B.Des. students, under the guidance of faculty members, managed the entire event, from conceptualisation and fabrication to coordination and execution. The festival provided students with an opportunity to showcase their creative skills, entrepreneurial ideas and commitment to sustainable design.
