A new Gujarat-level team has been unanimously appointed to oversee the activities of the Gujarat Innovation Society (GIS) and GIS Foundation for the next two years.
The appointments were made during a recently held executive meeting of the two organisations. Bharat Patel has been named chairman, while Professor Dr Alok Jain will serve as vice-chairman. Nakul Sherdalal has been appointed honorary secretary, Meghal Shah honorary joint secretary and Bhavin Parikh treasurer.
Sunil Shah has also been appointed national president of the GIS Foundation. Established in 2011, the Gujarat Innovation Society works to promote a culture of innovation among young people and small industries. The organisation encourages individuals and enterprises to develop new ideas, explore innovative approaches and undertake initiatives aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and innovation.
