Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max went on sale in India on Friday, September 18, with Apple fans arriving early at stores in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.Pre-orders for the new Pro models opened on September 12.
In Delhi, customers started gathering outside the Apple Store at Select Citywalk Mall in Saket before sunrise, hoping to be among the first to collect their devices.One customer told ANI that he had pre-booked the 1TB iPhone 18 Pro Max and was waiting outside the store despite the long queue.”Sabse pahele lena humnein hai,” he said, expressing his desire to be the first to get the new iPhone.
He said he was currently using an iPhone 17 Pro and was looking forward to checking out the new features of the latest model.
Customers gather in Mumbai and Bengaluru
The launch-day rush was also seen in Mumbai and Bengaluru. Customers gathered outside Jio World Drive in Mumbai and an Apple premium reseller store at the Mall of Asia in Bengaluru to purchase the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.The crowds came as Apple began retail sales of its latest Pro models in India following the opening of pre-orders earlier this month.
iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max features
According to Apple, the new Pro models feature an upgraded camera system, longer battery life, improved performance and new AI-powered Siri features.Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Greg Joswiak, said the company had made major improvements in areas including the camera, performance, battery life and intelligence.The iPhone 18 Pro also includes a variable-aperture camera, upgraded Photographic Styles and enhanced video features aimed at giving users more control while taking photos and recording videos.
iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max price in India
The iPhone 18 Pro starts at ₹1,64,900 in India, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at ₹1,79,900.Both models are now available for purchase in India.
