Sarkhej police on Thursday registered a complaint alleging an ₹8–10 crore ticket scam linked to the 2025 ‘Norta Nagri’ Garba event.Event manager Arjun Bhutia filed the FIR against Darshan Shah of Pashwa Jewellers, his manager Jayesh Parmar, Ravi Shah and Sanjay Desai over alleged irregularities in the sale of complimentary tickets.
Police said ticketing data from Zomato showed that complimentary passes were diverted and sold online, with records allegedly pointing to Shah’s nephew.During the event, two people were allegedly caught selling tickets illegally at the venue. They reportedly told organisers that they had received the tickets from Umang of Ticket Tower. Umang allegedly told police that Darshan had given him the tickets and that they were originally complimentary passes.
Investigators have collected partnership agreements, ticket records, bank details and transaction data to determine the scale of the alleged fraud and the role of each accused. The investigation is ongoing.
