The Odhav police have busted an alleged prostitution racket operating at Big Daddy International Spa on SP Ring Road and arrested the spa manager.According to police, three women from Tripura were allegedly brought to Ahmedabad and kept at the spa for prostitution.
Customers were allegedly charged between ₹2,000 and ₹3,000.Acting on a tip-off that women from outside Gujarat were being brought to the spa for the alleged activity, police sent a dummy customer to verify the information. The dummy customer was given ₹2,000 and sent to the spa. After he confirmed the alleged activity, the police team raided the premises.
During the raid, police found eight separate rooms at the spa and detained manager Lalshankar Damor, who is originally from Rajasthan. During questioning, Damor reportedly told police that he had been working as the spa manager for around a month.
Police also found three women from Tripura at the premises. During questioning, they reportedly told investigators that they had been brought to the spa and were being paid ₹20,000 per month.
Police identified the spa owner as Pranav Subhashbhai Bhavsar, a resident of Shyam Villa Green near Hari Darshan Char Rasta in Naroda. According to police, Bhavsar worked at the spa from 2 pm to 10 pm and allegedly paid the women ₹20,000 per month.
The Odhav police have registered a case against Lalshankar Damor and Pranav Bhavsar and launched a further investigation into the alleged racket.
