IIM Ahmedabad has secured the 27th position globally in the Financial Times Masters in Management (MiM) 2026 rankings, with 14 Indian business schools featuring in the global top 100.IIM Bangalore emerged as the highest-ranked Indian institution, securing the 21st position worldwide.
The institute has steadily improved its ranking over the past three years, moving up from 41st in 2024 to 28th in 2025 and now 21st in 2026.Mumbai-based S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) followed at 26th place, while IIM Ahmedabad ranked 27th. XLRI was placed 33rd and IIM Calcutta secured the 39th position.
Several Indian B-Schools Feature in Global Top 100
Beyond the top 50, several other Indian management institutes also featured prominently in the Financial Times global rankings, taking the total number of Indian schools in the top 100 to 14.
FT Uses 19 Parameters for Ranking
The Financial Times evaluates Masters in Management programmes worldwide using 19 parameters. The assessment focuses on factors including alumni career progression, salary growth, international exposure, career opportunities and value for money.Alumni survey responses account for 56% of the overall score, while information provided directly by participating business schools contributes the remaining 44%.
