Joheirry Mola of the Dominican Republic has been crowned Miss World 2026 at the grand finale held in Vietnam.
Thailand’s Miss World 2025 winner, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, crowned Mola as her successor at the end of the event.Spain’s Elisabeth Reynes was named the first runner-up, while Malaysia’s Taanusiya Chetty finished as the second runner-up.

Who is Joheirry Mola?
According to the Miss World organisation, Joheirry Mola is an educator, community advocate and communicator who focuses on education and community development.Mola holds a degree in Business Management and Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana. She founded and leads Voices of Tomorrow, an initiative that works to improve access to English education for children and young people from vulnerable communities.She teaches Literature and Social Studies in English and focuses on developing critical thinking and overall growth among her students.Mola has also worked in the media and serves as a correspondent for Univision New York’s Ventana a Quisqueya, where she covers Dominican culture, social issues and community stories.She is also a Goya Gives Ambassador and professional model. Her work, according to her Miss World profile, is guided by empathy, human connection and the values she learned from her family.
India’s Nikita Porwal Finishes in Top 40
India’s journey at the 73rd Miss World came to an end after Nikita Porwal finished among the Top 40 contestants.Although Porwal did not advance to the next round, her performance gave India a place on the international pageant stage and marked the end of her Miss World 2026 campaign.
