Two teams from Ahmedabad, mentored by The Robotronics Club, secured top positions in the Future Engineering category at the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) National Championships held in Hyderabad.
Team Greenbotics finished second and also won the MATLAB Modelling Award, while Team Astra secured third place and received the Special Award for Software Integration. The teams competed against 42 other teams from across India in the 14–22 age category.
Greenbotics comprised Devansh Awatramani, Rakshith Rao and Devansh Harivallabhdas. Team Astra included Aarna Pranav Shah, Shayaan Patel and Dhruv Patel.
The Future Engineering challenge required participants to design autonomous vehicles, testing their skills in robotics, artificial intelligence, programming, computer vision and engineering.
With their strong performances at the national championship, both Ahmedabad teams will now represent India at the international WRO competition.
