The upcoming monsoon session of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, which was earlier scheduled to begin on September 8, 2026, has been rescheduled by a day and will now commence on September 9.The Governor of Gujarat had initially summoned the ninth session of the state Assembly to begin on September 8 through a notification issued on August 3, 2026.However, the Governor cancelled the earlier summons on August 31 and issued a fresh notification the same day, changing the commencement date to September 9.
Three-day Assembly session
The Ninth Session of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly will now be held from September 9 to 11, lasting for three days.The session will include government business, consideration of government bills, motions on the final day and other matters recommended by the Business Advisory Committee.
Starred questions during Question Hour
Following the change in dates, Assembly Speaker Shankarbhai Chaudhary has decided that starred questions will be taken up during Question Hour on September 9, 10 and 11.The changes were announced through an official press release.
