IndiGo’s website faced a technical disruption on Wednesday, August 19, leaving some customers unable to search for flights, make bookings or complete online check-in.
Several passengers reported difficulties while accessing the airline’s online services, with some users encountering messages such as “No Data Available” and “No flights found” while searching for flights. Customers also reported problems completing the web check-in process.
IndiGo acknowledged the disruption, saying it was experiencing intermittent issues with its core reservation platform. The airline said its teams were working with a technology partner on priority to restore the affected services.
“We are currently experiencing intermittent issues with our core reservation platform, which may make it difficult for some customers to access our online services,” the airline said in a post on X.
The airline advised passengers requiring immediate assistance with their travel plans to contact its Contact Centre. Those travelling at a later date were asked to try accessing the IndiGo website or app again after some time.
IndiGo apologised for the inconvenience and thanked passengers for their patience and understanding while the technical issue was being addressed.
The disruption affected digital booking and check-in services, while there was no indication that it was linked to a wider flight cancellation or operational disruption. Reuters reported that customers in at least three Indian cities were unable to purchase tickets through IndiGo’s website during the outage.
The latest incident highlights the dependence of airline passengers on digital reservation and check-in systems, particularly for India’s largest airline by domestic market share. IndiGo had also faced major operational disruptions in December, when thousands of flights were cancelled following problems related to crew scheduling.
