Students of LD College of Engineering won the 14th Dewang Mehta IT Awards and Maverick Effect AI Challenge 2026 for developing an innovative agricultural rover.
Neev Prajapati, Riddhi Patel, Dvij Solanki and Bhargav Rana were declared winners for their project ARANYA, an autonomous rover designed to analyse crop yields and assess agricultural conditions.
The project was selected from 245 entries submitted by students from 58 colleges across 20 cities in Gujarat.
The event was organised by the Dewang Mehta Foundation Trust in collaboration with Gujarat Technological University. It also featured the Dewang Mehta Memorial Lecture delivered by Fractal co-founder and Group CEO Srikanth Velamakanni.
