The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has revised its Daily Passenger Pass Scheme, providing greater fare relief to regular commuters across the state.
The revised scheme is expected to benefit more than 2.5 lakh employees, traders, workers and other passengers who regularly travel by ST buses.
Under the new rules, a monthly pass will cost the fare of just 15 days, instead of the earlier 18 days, while allowing passengers to travel for 30 days.
Similarly, the quarterly pass will cost the fare of 45 days, reduced from 54 days, while passengers can travel for 90 consecutive days.
GSRTC said the revised fare structure will reduce the financial burden on daily commuters and encourage more people to use public transport.
