The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the UGC NET June 2026 provisional answer key today, August 16. According to the official notification, the answer key is scheduled to be released this week.
Candidates who appeared for the June session should keep their login credentials ready and regularly check the official UGC NET website for updates.
The provisional answer key will be released along with the question paper and response sheet. Candidates will also be allowed to challenge the provisional answers during the specified objection window.
The UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30, while a re-examination for eligible candidates was held on July 5.

UGC NET 2026 Marking Scheme
Candidates can use the provisional answer key to estimate their scores. Two marks are awarded for every correct answer, and there is no negative marking.
The expected score can be calculated using the formula:
Expected Score = Number of Correct Answers × 2
The final score may change after NTA considers and evaluates the objections raised against the provisional answer key.

The UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted at various centres across India on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30, 2026.
