The holy month of Shravan, according to the Gujarati Hindu Vikram Samvat calendar 2082, begins today, August 13, 2026, and will end on September 11. The month is considered highly auspicious for devotees and will feature several major religious festivals and celebrations.
Shravan is traditionally dedicated to devotion, prayers and the worship of Lord Shiva. Mondays during the month hold special significance, with large numbers of devotees visiting Shiva temples and offering milk, bilva leaves and other items to the Shivling. Many devotees also observe fasts during Shravan.

Shravan will conclude with Shravan Vad Amas on September 11. The Gujarati calendar will then enter the month of Bhadarvo on September 12.
The festive season will continue through Bhadarvo. Paryushan will begin on September 8 and September 9 for different Jain traditions. Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on September 14, followed by Anant Chaturdashi and Ganesh Visarjan on September 25. Samvatsari will be observed on September 26.
