Air India Express has announced the launch of direct flights between Jamnagar and Mumbai from September 1, 2026, improving air connectivity between Gujarat’s key industrial city and the country’s financial capital.
The airline is also expanding its domestic network by adding Aurangabad, Coimbatore, Jodhpur, Madurai and Tirupati. With these new routes, Air India Express’ network will grow to 64 destinations, including 48 domestic and 16 international locations.
Flight operations from all six new destinations will begin on September 1, connecting them with major metro cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad. The expansion is expected to improve access to important business, industrial, cultural and tourism hubs across India.
On the Jamnagar–Mumbai route, Air India Express will operate two daily flights. Flights from Jamnagar will depart at 1:10 pm and 6:00 pm, reaching Mumbai at 2:45 pm and 7:35 pm, respectively. Return flights from Mumbai will leave at 10:50 am and 4:00 pm, arriving in Jamnagar at 12:25 pm and 5:25 pm.
Bookings for the new services are now open through the airline’s website, mobile app and other authorised booking platforms.
With the latest expansion, Air India Express will operate more than 2,700 domestic flights every week, offering passengers better connectivity and more travel options between major cities and emerging destinations across the country.
