Food safety concerns have once again come under the spotlight after a disturbing video, allegedly from Noida, went viral on social media, triggering outrage and calls for stricter enforcement of hygiene standards in food preparation units.
The video, reportedly recorded at a soya chaap manufacturing unit in Noida’s Sector 27, appears to show workers handling food in highly unhygienic conditions. In the footage, a shirtless worker can be seen rolling over a large batch of soya chaap spread across the floor while others pull him across the mixture.
The video also shows workers moving around barefoot in the preparation area. At one point, water is poured over the shirtless worker as he crawls over
the food product lying on the floor. Another worker can reportedly be seen preparing soya chaap in the background without following basic hygiene practices.
